MY list!

So here it is. Thanks Amy for setting the example! This was actually really fun and interesting. At first I didn't think that I would be able to think of 100 things, but all throughout the day I kept coming up with new things. I think I will continue this list whenever I feel like it. I hope that our children will really like this some day, I wrote it with them in mind. Since it is MY list you, as a reader, don't need to agree with me on any of the points. And don't get offended! The points aren't in any particular order. Happy reading!

1.       Most of the time I can tell what my babies need according to their cry
2.       I would rather fold a load of darks then lights when doing laundry
3.       I don’t iron, I try not to own clothes that need to be ironed, not worth the effort
4.       I love to bake bread, but hate to clean up the dough bowl
5.       One day I want to be a chocolatier
6.       I don’t believe in exercise, even though I had fun doing a triathlon in 2011
7.       When I worry about my weight I don’t worry about being too fat, but I try to figure out how I can gain more weight, so I am not too skinny. I know it will come back to haunt me some day.
8.       Sometimes I get overwhelmed with how blessed I am
9.       After life being perfect for a while I am worried that something bad will happen
10.   I get physically sick when I am stressed out
11.   I don’t really care for dessert, chocolate is where it’s at
12.   I hate money, it causes too much stress, I am stressed when I don’t have any money and I am stressed when I have some
13.   I can’t stand the smell of peanut butter, but I like “turtles” which are basically just peanut butter balls on pretzels
14.   I don’t like flying, too boring
15.   I can’t run very far, but I could walk through a mall for hours
16.   When I try a new recipe I will ask my husband ten times if he likes it and what I should change next time
17.   Every time I do laundry I think of the song “Neverending Stoooooooryyyyyy…” not sure what the rest of the words are
18.   I like to garden
19.   Crafts are fun, I have so many ideas, but never really the energy to go through with them
20.   I love to entertain and host parties, but only a few people
21.   I don’t like big get-togethers, I would rather be in a group of four or six people
22.   I am not a clean freak, but every now and then I get fed up with stuff and start to deep clean
23.   I regularly dejunk, I love to throw away, but I also like to accumulate…oxymoron?
24.   I wish my Russian were better
25.   I like it when I can fool people in thinking I am American, doesn’t happen very often, it worked at BYU though, where one of my Russian professors thought I was American and didn’t find out for 1 ½ years
26.   I married my best friend and can’t and don’t want to imagine life without him
27.   I can’t stand it when kids are messy eaters
28.   Sometimes I set weird goals: current goal: to see how long I can keep my poinsettia alive (It is three months old now, why throw it away if it is a perfectly fine plant? And who decided that they are only Christmas plants?)
29.   I like it when people think I am funny
30.   I would rather be in labor then go to the dentist (bad childhood experiences)
31.   Not sure I want to end up living in Utah for the rest of my life (this is an ongoing internal battle)
32.   I love my children, but I don’t really like other kids, since I can’t discipline them the way I want to
33.   I wish I could be a dancer, especially clogger
34.   Someday I will be on a swim team
35.   I can’t stand cooked spinach, yuck
36.   I was meant to be a singer, but the talent is missing
37.   Every time I eat a salad I feel like I am eating grass
38.   Clothes shopping used to be fun, but now when I go I usually end up looking for stuff for my kids or husband
39.   I am a job magnet, except for one summer where I couldn’t find a job for two months jobs have been coming to me
40.   I have had a file with child services for child neglect, “oh Mark!”, long story
41.   I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
42.   I have a testimony of Jesus Christ
43.   I have to take off my wedding ring every night or I can’t sleep
44.   I am a social eater, I don’t like sitting down at the table by myself, and when everybody is done eating all of a sudden it doesn’t taste as good any more
45.   Most of the time I can’t eat the last bite from my food…makes me sick
46.   I can taste the difference between cheap eggs and more expensive eggs, this goes back to an experience in Russia
47.   I love maternity pants, zippers and buttons are overrated, every pair of jeans should just have a waist band
48.   All three of my kids get the hiccups when they laugh a lot
49.   When I am old I want to look back at my life and rejoice and feel like I have had a full and happy life
50.   I can’t eat things that jiggle or slither when they go down my throat; like pudding, jello, yogurt, thick gravy . . .
51.   My first child, a girl, was born February 6, 2007 at 9:17 am, she weighed 6lbs. 8 ounces and was 19 ½ inches
52.   My second, a boy, was born October 4, 2009 at 11:41 am, he weighed 6 lbs. 13 ounces and was 20 inches
53.   My third, a boy, was born October 4, 2012 at 5:19 am, he weighed 8 lbs. 8.5 ounces and was 21 inches
54.   Yes, I have two kids that were born on the same day, the first boy was two weeks early and the second was one week late
55.   I love remote controlled cars
56.   One of my favorite presents I have gotten so far is a remote controlled red Lotus
57.   There is a 50’s Chevy sitting in a vacant lot that I have been eying for the last sixteen years, it is my dream to buy it someday and to remodel it
58.   Chocolate should not have nuts or anything else in it, just plain milk chocolate is the best, especially if it is a Lindt truffle
59.   I don’t like to read, there aren’t very many books that I have enjoyed reading
60.   The temple is one of my favorite places on earth
61.   Sometimes I need a time out and I want to be alone, without noises
62.   I get seasick like crazy, bad experiences when I was younger
63.   I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Russian language from BYU, Go Cougars!
64.   My dream vacation is to sit at a beach in the sun eating ice cream/ popsicles
65.   I love Coke, too bad it makes my heart race, so caffeine free it is
66.   My favorite color is: well, I really don’t know, I go through phases
67.   I don’t believe in cloth diapers
68.   Most of the time food is overrated, except for on holidays
69.   I am addicted to Facebook, but I justify it as my way out and my way to keep in contact with adults instead of talking to little kids all day
70.   I can’t stand it when people open boxes the wrong way, like opening the cereal box on the bottom and then it stands upside down until it is empty
71.   I have had so many bad haircuts that I will avoid going to get my hair cut until I am in Utah and Amber can do it, she is amazing
72.   If I could have my dream cars, that are fitting our family situation, I would have a BYU blue Toyota Prius and a maroon brand new Nissan Quest
73.   I am afraid of heights
74.   Since I have had babies I get sick on rollercoasters
75.   I love to give presents but my husband is really hard to shop for
76.   I used to be a lifeguard, well kind of, I went through the training, got certified, but never worked as one
77.   I don’t like bugs, especially spiders and centipedes, every time I have to kill one I scream so that I don’t hear the crunching noise it makes when they get squished
78.   When I was a teenager I died my hair all kinds of colors, mostly reds, not blue or green
79.   When I get tired I say wacuum instead of vacuum and wisit instead of visit
80.   I get grumpy/ornery when I am tired and hungry
81.   I think “Knie” is a funny word in German (it means knee and the k is not silent)
82.   I speak to my kids in German 99.8% of the time, it should be 100% but when Talita needs help with her homework I will switch over to English, speaking German in public makes it easier to get after them if they aren’t doing what they are supposed to, since not very many people can understand
83.   I would rather have one really good friend than a lot of mediocre friends (Amy this one is for you)
84.   I wrote a paper about my life once (at Utah Valley University, back then it was UVSC) and after reading it my teacher told me I NEEDED counseling
85.   I used to teach new mission presidents German and Russian at the Provo MTC, I got to work there even before I went on my mission
86.   I dream in different languages, either German, English or Russian, it all depends on who is in my dream
87.   Sometimes I get crazy ideas (that I don’t follow through with), like jumping off a bridge or scaring a motorcyclist with my car just because I want to know what it would be like, good thing I never follow through huh?
88.   I believe there should be a heated bath tub and an air conditioned bed
89.   Easter is my favorite holiday, I love Easter egg hunts, I usually make my husband hide my Easter candy for me
90.   I don’t do throw up, if at all possible my husband will clean it up, unless he is out of town then I have to gag my way through it, yuck
91.   I feel totally helpless when my kids get hurt
92.   Cake/brownies/pie and ice cream don’t go together, why would I want crumbs in my ice cream?
93.   I have the smartest husband ever, he is fluent in four languages
94.   sometimes I get scared that something will happen to him and life would be really scary all alone
95.   I am pretty sure that I could use our shotgun if I had to, and yes sometimes we practice loading it
96.   every now and then I get the thought of going back to school, I would like to either get a Master’s degree in Genealogy or in Family Counseling
97.   I love to watch murder mysteries, even though I get scared every time
98.   I hate learning new games, it takes too long, and it bothers me even more when we play games with other people and they haven't played it before, I have no patience for learning the rules or having others learn them
99.   chocolate milk is my comfort food, I don't drink it I eat it, I spoon it, eating the little chocolate clumps on top
100.   my favorite $20 word (a word that isn't used very often) is ubiquitous
101.   breakfast before 10 am is just too early
102.   sometimes I am on survival mode, where I just do the things that are absolutely necessary, because everything else is too much
103.   since baby number three was born I have learned to simplify, I know what I can cut out of my daily schedule and what I have to do for sure
104.   when it is winter I complain that it is too cold and when it is summer I complain that it is too hot, so I am hardly ever happy with the temperature outside
105.   if I had to choose I would rather be cold then hot
106.   water is disgusting, it needs some flavor
107.   I really like spell checks
108.   After I die I want to meet several inventors and thank them, like: Ziploc bags, dishwashers, the shower head on the kitchen sink, garbage disposal …
109.   When I am bored out of my mind I write in the Google search bar: “who let the dogs out”, just for fun
110.   I can pretend to be in control even though I am totally stressed
111.   I could get rid of a lot of things I own, but not my iPod
112.   I only eat because I have to, I wish they would invent a complete meal in form of a Jamba Juice fruit smoothie
113.   I don’t believe in home schooling, and unless the public schools available to us just aren’t what my children need I will keep them in public schools
114.   Even though I like to get out sometimes, I am very grateful that I can be a stay at home mom and that we can live on one income
